Define Tool/Equipment Demands
Explanation
This activity is used to define tool/equipment resources required to perform
a specific work task on Work Task/Resources tab Demands
section, including the duration for which they are planned. One or more
Tool/equipment demands can be stated on a task. These demands can either be
defined only with a Resource Group or as Resource
along with the Resource Group.
A Sales part site and Sales part can be added on the demand
line if the price needs to be invoiced to the customer.
Prerequisites
- Resources and Resource Groups need to be defined and connected to each
other in Resource Navigator and have connections for the work task site.
- Resources and Resource Groups should be compatible to use in Maintenance.
System Effects
As a result of this activity,
- Demand lines with Demand type Tool/Equipment will be
connected to the task.
- The Planned Hours field for the resource demand will
default to the work task's duration but can be adjusted as needed. The specified
resource duration will be reflected in the planned resource costs.
- Resource activities will be generated for demands based on the planned
hours specified for each resource.
