Before concluding the work order, all connected work tasks must be completed, and the actual completion date provided. The work associated with the work order must also be finished. Once all necessary information is entered and the work is complete, the status is changed to Finished to conclude the work order. As a result, the work order becomes historical and can only be used for informational purposes. Changes or reuse of a historical work order are possible only by using the Reopen option, which allows updates if any unregistered work needs to be added to the work order.
Invoicing must be completed before concluding the work order. The work task
is set to Released, and any necessary non-invoiceable or transferred
sales lines are added under the Sales Line tab. After
adding the sales line, including the cost type and sales part, an invoice preview
is generated using the Create Invoice Preview command on the
Conclude Work Order page under the Work Order Scope.
If the work task is not marked as Reported, the Task
must be Reported option is unticked when creating the preview.
An invoice can be generated through the Customer Scope in the
Generate Invoice Preview page by selecting the customer and
site linked to the work order and setting a future date.
Once the work task is completed and invoiced, the work order is marked as Finished and archived for future reference.
