Assess Warranty and Select Assessment ID
Explanation
This activity is used to evaluate whether a new task under an existing
warranty scope requires additional warranty assessment. The technician
selects a Warranty Assessment ID, ensuring that the new task is categorized
correctly based on the warranty conditions.
Prerequisites
- The Create New Task activity must have determined that a warranty
assessment is necessary.
- The technician must review the task details against the warranty
terms.
- A valid Warranty Assessment ID must be selected to document the
decision.
System Effects
- The selected Warranty Assessment ID is applied to the task,
determining its warranty status.
- If the Warranty Assessment ID indicates that the warranty remains
valid, the system maintains the task under warranty scope.
- If the Warranty Assessment ID indicates that the warranty is voided,
the system voids the warranty for the entire request scope.
- The updated warranty classification and assessment details are
synchronized with the IFS Cloud
