Pack Parts in Shipment Inventory

Explanation

For a shipment, a quick and easy way to pack all inventory parts that have been picked but are not yet packed, i.e., attached to a shipment handling unit. The parts can be attached to a new or an already existing shipment handling unit.

Prerequisites

• There must be picked parts in shipment inventory that have not already been attached to a handling unit.
• If a handling unit type is to be suggested, then it must have been entered on the page Site/Shipment Management in field Default Handling Unit Type for Pick and Pack

System Effects

All remaining parts in shipment inventory are automatically attached to either an existing shipment handling unit or a newly created shipment handling unit.

Note that for package part components, if package part setting Pack Components in Shipment is disabled then the components will remain unattached and the package part itself needs to be attached manually to a shipment handling unit.
