Return or Scrap Customer Consignment Stock
Explanation
This activity is used to return or scrap quantities from the customer
consignment stock when there is a defective item found before reporting the
customer consignment consumption.
Return or scrap quantities can be registered in the page Handle RMA
for Customer Consignment Stock where users can search the records
for site, sales part no, customer and address.
Returns or scarp can be registered from each customer order line which
represents the customer consignment stock and user can enter the Return
Material Reason for each customer order line reference. It is required
to enter Customer Consignment Stock Return Details under each customer order
line reference when the Return Material Reason is filled.
It is required to enter the Location No if the Qty to Return
is filled. It is only allowed to enter the Picking Locations as Location
No. Scrapping Cause is required be filled when Qty to Scrap
is filled.
After the relevant information is filled the Return/ Scrap command
can be executed where the user has the possibility to create new RMA
Header/Lines or add RMA lines to existing RMA. When the user presses OK,
the RMA lines are created, and register arrival of the RMA Lines are
automatically executed, while scrapping process are automatically
triggering if
there are Qty to Scrap is entered.
Prerequisites
- Material must have been delivered to a consignment stock at the customer.
- There are customer consignment stock quantities which are not yet
consumed.
- The customer must have reported the details of defective items.
System Effects
- If the user selects Create New option, new RMA is created with
the entered information and register arrival of the RMA Lines are
automatically triggered while scrapping process is automatically executed
if there are Qty to Scrap entered.
- Therefore, the RMA Header/ Line goes to the status Return
Completed.
- If the user selects Add to Existing RMA option, RMA lines are added
to the selected RMA with the entered details and register arrival of the
RMA lines are automatically triggered while scrapping process is
automatically executed if there are Quantity to Scrap entered.
Therefore, RMA lines go to the status Return Completed.
- Consignment stock quantity is reduced.
- Quantities are received into the given inventory location if there
are quantities to return. Inventory transactions CO-REDELIN and
CO-REDELOU are created.
- If there are quantities to scrap, the quantities are scrapped and
inventory transaction CO-RETSCP is created.
- Customer Consignment flag is set to true for the created RMA and
Approve for Credit option is disabled.
- Header Order connected or shipment connected RMAs are not created.
RMA lines are connected to the customer order line.
