Enter Global Address Per Order
Explanation
This activity defines a Global Address as a delivery address for a
particular order. A Global Address is a predefined address mainly used for
delivery purposes. This address is not the end customer's address but can be
a logistic location address (e.g., port, yard, airport etc.) where the
supplier delivers the goods.
The Global Address uses a single occurrence functionality to share
the address from the Customer Order to Customer Order line. Hence, the
single occurrence toggle will automatically
be enabled when the
user saves a Global Address in customer
order header.
Global Address field is visible in both the Delivery
Address section of the Customer Order Header and the Single Occurrence
Address assistant.
Global Address can have default sourcing.
It can be "Int Purch Dir" or "Purch Order Dir".
Prerequisites
-
A Global
Address
must have been defined.
-
The Customer field on the Customer Order must be filled.
System Effects
-
A Global Address delivery is defined for the order,
and the ordered parts will be delivered to this address.
-
New order lines will be created for this
delivery address as a Single Occurrence address.
-
The Supply Country field of the customer order will be updated if
the selected Global Address has the "Update Supply Country"
toggle enabled for default sourcing at the Global Address
.
Additionally, tax liability will change based on the supply country
defined under the customer.
-
If the selected Global Address has defined default sourcing, the Supply
Code will automatically be fetched to the newly created Customer Order
line. The External Supplier or Site (Internal Supplier) will also be
fetched automatically if the relevant sales part has a defined
supplier for purchase part.
-
If the user changes the existing Global Address to another Global
Address with different default sourcing (Supply Site/External Supplier)
for an existing Customer Order with customer order lines, the sourcing
information of the existing Customer Order lines will not change to the
new sourcing. The new default sourcing will only affect for new order
lines.
