Apply Customer Warranty
Explanation
This action applies a customer warranty on an already created request
scope.
Prerequisites
- The scope should have an object, such as the reported item on the
Request Details page, to be eligible for applying for a
warranty.
- The customer warranty must be defined on the Service
Object page and should be within the Validity
period and in Active status.
System Effects
- The selected customer warranty is applied to the scope. It will
automatically cover all Request Work Tasks under the scope. The Price
Rule and SLA for the scope will be updated according to the new customer
warranty.
- If a customer warranty is already present, the existing customer
warranty will be disconnected from the scope automatically before
applying the new customer warranty.
- None of the already created sales lines will be impacted.
