Define Progress Method
Explanation
Use this activity to define how progress is calculated for individual
activities. Different activities within the same project can use different
methods to accurately track their progress. This ensures precise monitoring
and better project management. Correct progress tracking is the foundation
for calculating other important metrics, such as earned value, which is
essential for assessing project performance and forecasting future outcomes.
By default, the progress method is set to Connected Objects,
where all connected objects are used to estimate the progress.
The available progress methods include:
- Connected Objects Progress: Calculated based on the
earned value or progress of connected objects.
- Duration Progress: Determined by the elapsed days
of the activity.
- Consumption Based: Based on the actual values used
or consumed by connected objects.
- Tasks: Manually entered for tasks connected to the
activity.
- Template Progress: Manually entered using
predefined progress templates.
- Manual: Manually entered at different levels of the
activity.
Prerequisites
