Connect/Disconnect Resource Forecast
Explanation
Use this activity to connect a resource forecast to a budget/forecast version.
Resource forecasts can be connected in the Project Forecast page using
the Manage Forecast Connection in
Forecast Connection. Use the
toggle
to connect/disconnect the Resource Forecast in the Resource Forecast
section.
If a change has been made in a resource forecast after it has been
connected to a project budget or forecast, you are able to update the project
budget or forecasts with this newly changed amount using the Update
command in the Project Forecast Connections page.
Prerequisites
- A resource forecast should exist for the project.
- The project does not have an active budget using net change budget control.
System Effects
- An existing resource forecast is connected to the selected budget/forecast
version and the ETC Connected column will be added to the list of
project forecast lines.
- If it is a disconnection: The existing resource forecast is disconnected
from the selected budget/forecast version. When all connections are disconnected
for the selected budget/forecast, the ETC Connected column will be
removed from the list of project forecast lines.
- When using update, all the values in the ETC Connected
column in the project forecast lines will be recalculated for the
resource forecast. If posting control changes have been made, even the cost elements
may be changed.
