Use this activity to enter the basic data related to the Delivery Control Code for the delivery surveillance. This code is used only for information purposes against a purchase order line. For example, this can be used to prioritize purchase order lines. When entering a purchase order line, you can add a Delivery Control Code, i.e., informing the supplier that this particular order line needs special attention. Any value can be used as a code with maximum 30 characters. The corresponding delivery control code description provides more details on the code for the supplier. The code can be used in other places beside the Purchase Order Line as well, for example in Register Arrival, Receipt and Incoming Dispatch Advice pages.
The Delivery Control Code can be used on purchase orders for both part and no-number part order lines, as well as for rental part lines.
There is a specific query field in the Purchase Order Lines page, which makes it easy to track purchase order lines with a specific delivery control code.
You can use any character or figure to indicate the type of delivery control code.
The Delivery Control Code can also be used to store the Turkish DIIB number. It is used for the inward processing permit certificate needed to postpone or fully exempt taxes at the time of import.
When adding a Delivery Control Code, also a corresponding validity period can be set with dates in the Valid From and Valid To fields. If the date field is empty it means that all dates are valid (from start date to end date in calendar).
If using the Delivery Control Code for Turkish DIIB, the validity period for the DIIB should be set.

The Delivery Control Code is entered with related validity period and is available through the List of Values in several places, for example the Purchase Order Line, Register Arrival and Incoming Dispatch Advice.
When using the code for example at a Purchase Order Line, only codes that are valid on the system date will be possible to choose in the List of Values.
