Use this activity to define purchase groups that belong to category nodes. This page will be used to map the purchase group(s) in the shopping cart when items are purchased through punchout or a hosted supplier catalog (only for category assortment as the categorization basis). Via this page it is possible to add a purchase group to multiple nodes in a category assortment in one go. (from a parent level)
The purchase groups entered via procurement category assortment will reflect in this page but not vice versa. These line items can be identified by using the field "Inherited via Category Assortment". If it states "Yes", it means that the relevant line level detail is entered via a category assortment. These lines cannot be edited or deleted unless it is deleted/edited via procurement category assortment page.
Lines which are entered manually in this page is indicated as "No" for the field "Inherited via Category Assortment". It is possible to add multiple nodes to one purchase group via this page. When a higher node is connected to a purchase group, all the child levels inherit that purchase group.
Active Category assortment should exist
To map the purchase group based on category nodes for purchase group below requirements to be satisfied.
For Punchout Catalog : Supplier Category Mapping Reference (assortment) is defined
For Hosted Supplier Catalog : Categorization basis
should be category assortment and a category assortment should be
defined
In an instance where above conditions are met, purchase group/s will be fetched to shopping cart as follows.
If the category assortment node name has one line item in the Category Nodes for Purchase Group page which is similar to the supplier's part category name , the relevant purchase group should be indicated in the shopping cart.
If the category assortment node name has multiple line items in the Category Nodes for Purchase Group page which is similar to the supplier's part category name , the relevant purchase groups should be indicated in the shopping cart as an LOV.
If the category assortment node name is not similar to the supplier's part category name , all the active purchase groups (listed in purchase group basic data page ) should be indicated in the shopping cart as an LOV.
