Update DOP Structure Dates from Supply

Explanation

This activity is used to update the due dates of DOP orders in a DOP structure to match the latest due dates of their pegged supply orders, provided that at least one pegged supply order exists. As part of this update, the start dates will also be adjusted accordingly.

The due dates of pegged supply orders might change, e.g. due to the usage of constraint based scheduling or manual re-planning. These updated dates often differ from the dates on the DOP orders. In order to avoid getting many alarms due to these differences, this activity makes it possible to update the due date of a DOP order based on the due dates of its pegged supply orders.

To update the due dates of DOP orders in a DOP structure to match the latest due dates of their pegged supply orders, click Update Date/Quantity and then Update Dates from Supply on the DOP Header page.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that at least one DOP order within the structure has at least one pegged supply order.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• The due dates of the DOP orders within the structure are set to the latest due date of their pegged supply orders or, if that date is not a working day according to the site manufacturing calendar, to the previous workday. The start dates are also updated using backwards planning. For information on how this is done, see Set DOP Order Start Date by Backwards Planning.
• If the site has Schedule and Create Load for DOP Order Operations enabled, machine and labor load of source Scheduled DOP are re-created for the operations on the DOP orders in the structure based on the quantity remaining to supply on the DOP orders, plus the planned supply scrap for that quantity. This applies to the DOP orders with manufactured parts that have the status Netted and Create Pegged set to Pegged Orders.
