Change Supervisor/Team Assignment

Explanation

This activity is used to change supervisor and team assignments already assigned to persons. This assistant can be used to change single assignments or multiple assignments at once.

Any changes made using the Change Assignment assistant will result in the selected current assignment(s) ending and new assignment(s) being created. This assistant should only be used when it is required to change supervisor and/or team assignments, it should not be used to add new assignments.

Continuous access can be granted for current supervisors to access their team members, after their supervisor assignment period has ended. This can be done using the Continuous Access To field. The default accessible durations for continuous access for supervisors can be set in Access For Previous And Future Supervisors in the Access Setup Configuration page.

A person can have multiple team and supervisor assignments, however, there can only be one direct supervisor assigned to a person at a given time.

Select the Supervised Teams Only option to filter the Team field only to show teams of which the selected supervisor is a supervisor.

For multiple assignment changes, if the Change Access Settings for All Selected Persons option is active in the first step of the assistant, any access setting changes made will be applied for all selected members. If inactive, the current access settings of the selected members will remain. If specific changes are required for individual members in a multiple assignment change, it can be done in the next step of the assistant.

As a result of this activity, the selected current supervisor and team assignment(s) will end, and new assignment(s) will be created. Continuous access for former supervisors will be created, if this option is configured.
