Adjust Headcount Plan Data

Explanation

This activity is used to modify the newly created headcount plan. There are multiple ways in which headcount plan can be interacted with, so this activity is divided into several parts, based on how you want to modify or interact with the headcount plan.

If you did not create initial data for the headcount plan during its creation, you will have to do it before making any other changes. You can also undo any changes, as those will be replaced with initial data.

To generate headcount plan data Use Generate Initial Headcount Plan Data option.

If Target data calculated based on employment on date is selected headcount plan will only have information about a number of employees in each organization unit. It will enable the field, Target data to be generated based on to select the type as to how the target data should be generated on the Headcount Plan, accordingly the number of employees will be further divided into Positions or Jobs.

To select for how many periods you want to create initial data:

Note: You can use New Headcount Plan to generate data for a single organization unit. Change Headcount Plan Data can be used to modify the plan. When you modify the headcount plan, Generated column will get cleared to indicate that the change was done manually and was not a result of automatic headcount plan data generation.

The field Target data to be generated based on decides how the target data should be generated on the Headcount Plan. Available options are Job and Position, if not target data will be calculated based on Organization.

Note: The number of employees who should be given primary assignment to the Organization Code, and/or for a specific JOB ID within the given period will be considered for the Headcount Plan data. If Job is blank for any employment, a new line will be displayed in Period Details without Job name and counts will be displayed against the respective Organization.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, a headcount plan has to be registered.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, changes will be made to the headcount plan.
