Define Manufacturing Tool Type

Explanation

This activity is used to view, enter, and maintain definitions of manufacturing tool types. All manufacturing tool groups must be linked to a tool type. This allows you to group tools by similar characteristics.

Use the Manufacturing Tool Types page to enter and maintain records of different types of manufacturing tool groups.

There are no prerequisites.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• A manufacturing tool type record is created.
• The tool type can be selected from the List of Values to link it to tool groups on the Manufacturing Tool Group and Manufacturing Tool Groups pages.
