Connect Tool Groups to Operation

Explanation

Connect tool groups and associated tool information to operations in the routing.

On Routing page, select the operation, and then select Tools to open Routing Operations Tools page.

Create a new record and select a tool group ID from the LOV picker in the Tool Group field.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• The part must have been defined with at least one routing.
• A tool group ID must be defined on Manufacturing Tool Group page.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• Tool groups are connected to operations in a routing.
• Routing information is used in planning, scheduling, and shop order reporting.
