As a Technician, Maintenance Engineer, or Reliability Engineer, the ability to create and manage maintenance change requests is essential for addressing maintenance needs and ensuring equipment reliability.
To create a new Maintenance Change Request (MCR), navigate to the Maintenance Change Request page and click the Add New icon. Enter a description in the Maint. CR Description field, such as "Increased Inspection Frequency for Bearings" or "Install Protective Shields for Drilling Machines." Select the responsible person from the Responsible field dropdown and assign a priority (e.g., High, Medium, or Low) using the Priority field dropdown. Additional information can be added in the Note field. Once all required details are entered, click Save to create the MCR. The Maint. CR No field will populate automatically after saving. This functionality allows users to create new maintenance requests, view existing ones, edit records, and update statuses, ensuring that maintenance priorities and requirements are effectively addressed.
Note: The entered details cannot be modified after saving. The MCR progresses through the statuses Preliminary, In Progress, Active, Processed, and Cancelled. Upon creation, the status is set to Preliminary and can later be updated to In Progress or Cancelled as required.
Journal Tab
The Journal tab on the Maintenance Change Request page provides a comprehensive log of actions taken for the selected change request. It records the date the request was created, tracks status changes as it progresses through stages such as Preliminary, In Progress, Active, Processed, and Cancelled, and records any revisions made, capturing updates and modifications over time.
As a result of this activity, a new Maintenance Change Request is created.
