Check Synchronization Tasks

Use this activity to check the synchronization tasks. You can check this on the Synchronization Tasks page in IFS Cloud.

The Synchronization Tasks page displays all tasks generated by the Push and Batch Synchronization processes.

• Batch Synchronization: This process creates tasks for each mobile user, device, and app for all entities where the time interval between the current system date/time and the last synchronization date exceeds the frequency defined on the Synchronization Rules page.
• Push Synchronization: This process generates tasks for each user, device, app, and entity when an entity record changes in IFS Cloud.

To troubleshoot synchronization issues, check the Synchronization Tasks list in IFS Cloud. This list provides information on the duration of synchronization tasks and the data produced by executing each task.

Each task is linked to synchronization service queue rows processed by the synchronization server. This process generates the actual output message sent to the device. In the Synchronization Tasks list, you can see if a task has been completed and find out how long it took to run for all listed entities.

Has the synchronization task been completed?

• If Yes: An out message should have been created. You should continue with client investigations.
• If No: Check the Synchronization Service Queue status.

To determine which of the two options applies, continue with server investigations. The next step is to check the synchronization tasks.
