Create Job Cost Time Type

Explanation

This activity is used to define a combined job rate parameter for Report Code and Time Type, which are similar concepts but in different components, to simplify rate agreement data setup.

Categories

Job Cost Time Types are defined per company and fall into four system-defined categories:

A user can assign one of these categories to each Job Cost Time Type. Only the Job Cost Time Types categorized as Overtime can be marked as eligible for Blended Overtime, which allows for more accurate overtime rates using the weighted average method. In this case, the basic rates considered as the base for the overtime calculation are identified using the Time Type Basis. Once the Job Cost Time Type is defined, Report Codes and Time Types can be grouped under it.
