This dialog is used to move Service Objects with classification Functional from one object structure to another, and to move Service Objects with classification Serial from one site to another, or to a different equipment structure in the same site.
This action is available for both serial and functional Service Objects. Users have the option to specify the object structure that the Service Object should be moved to by selecting the New Parent object. The site of the functional Service Object that is being moved will not change, but it is possible to change the site of the serial Service Objects. For serial Service Objects, this is done by using the Move to a New Structure option in the dialog. If the serial object has to be moved to a new object structure without changing the site, it is done by using the Move to a New Structure but without specifying a New Site.
This action is available only for serial Service Objects. Serial Service Objects are moved to a new site if the values for Company and Site are set in the Move to a New Site section.
This action is available only for serial Service Objects and if the serial service object has test points/parameters defined for measurement registration. Users have the option to register the current measurement at the time of the move using the Register Measurements option. Once the measurements are entered, the Apply command needs to be selected in order to register and save them. It should be noted that the measurements for child objects being moved have to be entered separately.
Service Objects will carry their referenced details to the new site such as measurements, test point/parameters, spare parts, technical details, attachments, and warranties. Serial Service Objects' Cost/Year details are removed once the object is moved to a new site.
