This activity is used to define skill requirements for a model. Service
Objects associated with the Model will inherit the attached skills.
If there
is an object family and an object subfamily defined for the model, the skills
defined on the families will be inherited and displayed in the skills section by default.
Action on inherited skills | Result |
Exclude | The inherited skill will be excluded from the model and all service objects. |
Include | The option to include a skill is only available if the skill has been excluded from the Model. The exclusion will be revoked and the skill will be inherited to the model-associated service objects. An inclusion can only happen at the same level where the exclusion was applied before. |
Skills, certificates and competencies attached to the model directly (not the inherited skills) can be deleted. When a skill is deleted from model, it will no longer be displayed on Service Objects.
The attribute Share with Corequisite is used in scheduling to control whether all resources performing a group of tasks (all starting at the same time) must have the required skills, or if it's enough for just one resource in the group to have them. If set to Yes, the value will be inherited to the Work Task to control scheduling behavior.
As a result of this activity, the skills required to carry out services on an object of this model will be established.
