This activity Generate Job Competencies is used to auto suggest competencies for a specific Job title.
This functionality exists at the Job definition (Job) page, residing under the navigation Global Job architecture > Job.
All the jobs defined in the application will have the facility available to generate competencies against a chosen Job Title. Under the Qualifications sub section listed against each Job, once expanded the Competencies section will provide this facility to Suggest competencies.
Suggesting a list of Competencies
To Suggest competencies, the solution currently uses the following pre-registered information from the Global Job Architecture section:
To Suggest competencies, you may simply click on the Suggest command button.
A dialog with suggested competencies will appear. A maximum number of 5 competencies to a minimum number of zero (no matching competencies) will be suggested, that matches, aligns and filters out according to the specific job title selected.
Once competencies are suggested, you can select your required competencies from the list.
For example, if 5 competencies were suggested that is aligned with the job title, you can either select all 5 suggested competencies and save, or else choose the number of competencies as per requirement and click save.
To select or choose suggested competencies from the dialog box, against each suggested competency a toggle is visible, you must enable that toggle which results in the competency to be selected.
With competencies suggested, some fields will be editable such as the Competency Level, the Gap Tolerance.
The validity period of the suggested competencies will be in relation to or within the validity period the specific job title is defined.
Suggested competencies can be selected and saved, these suggested competencies will be then saved under the Competencies section against the selected specific job title.
In order to perform this activity:
Competencies will be automatically suggested for any selected Job title, providing efficiency and support to the user.
