Incidents process allows you to maintain records of all incidents which
occur within your organization causing harm to personnel and/or damages to
properties. This functionality also facilitates the evaluation/investigation
of such incidents so that actions can be taken to prevent such incidents
from recurring. The process consists of the following sub-processes:
Incident Reporting
Information related to the incident, such
as details of persons affected, the type of injuries or illnesses caused to
personnel, the substances that were involved in causing the incident etc.
can be clearly registered for each incident. When you register details of
damages, objects already registered in IFS/Manufacturing can be connected to
the incident in order to report the damages caused to each object.
Incident Investigation
Several persons with specific roles can
be assigned to investigate the incident already reported. The findings from
the investigation can also be registered. Also, any external organizations
and agencies participating in incident investigations can be entered for the
records.
Incident Analysis
Once the investigations are completed, you
can recommend corrective actions and preventive measures for the incident.
Specific tasks (actions) can be assigned to persons using the system in
order to implement such actions. The probable causes for the incident
can be identified and registered during the analysis. Also, it is possible
to perform a risk assessment related to the incident so that you can measure
the probable risk associated with this incident as a precaution. Risk
assessment of the incident will provide a calculated value to indicate the
risk.
Incident Closing Procedures
An incident report consists of a safety department questionnaire which will be completed by a person investigating/analyzing the incident report in order to evaluate whether the relevant safety regulations are followed. A standardized questionnaire can be defined based on the requirement of the organization.
