Proxy Job Stop
Explanation
The Proxy Job Stop activity allows a supervisor or crew lead to stop a
skill assignment on behalf of a technician when the technician is
unavailable to do so.
This activity completes the skill assignment, preventing further
accumulation of time, and creates a new skill assignment so another
technician can start working on the stopped assignment.
For example, a supervisor or crew lead may perform a proxy job stop when:
- A technician forgets to sign off before the end of their
shift.
- A technician leaves due to an emergency before signing off on work
recorded.
Prerequisites
- The skill requirement should be in Assigned
or Work Started status.
- PROXY_JOB_STOP_REASON parameter should be configured on the
Maintenance Execution Parameters page.
- Proxy Job Stop reason must be specified from the Service
Management/Basic Data/Service Work Basic Data/Task Basic Data/Incomplete
Causes page.
System Effects
- The status of the skill assignment changes to
Completed.
- A new skill requirement with the same scheduled hours is
created to complete the remaining work.
- A new skill requirement is added with the same scheduled hours
and the same skill.
- The action is recorded as Paused by Proxy
under the ACTIONS TAKEN tab.
- Job Stop Reason is updated as Paused by Proxy.
