Job Stop
Explanation
The Job Stop activity allows a technician to
temporarily halt work on an assignment for a preconfigured reason, such as a
lack of shift time, missing parts or tools, or insufficient skills.
The Job Stop process involves recording the reason for stopping, the
remaining hours, and any additional notes or actions taken.
Once the job is stopped, a new skill assignment is created for the
remaining work, and the original assignment is marked as completed.
Prerequisites
- The skill assignment should be in Assigned or
Work Started status.
- To edit remaining hours, the ALLOW_REMAINING_HOURS_EDIT
parameter in the Maintenance Execution Parameters page should be set to
YES.
- You must be assigned to the skill.
- Job Stop reasons must be configured from the Service
Management/Basic Data/Service Work Basic Data/Task Basic Data/Incomplete
Causes page.
System Effects
- The status of the skill assignment changes to
Completed.
- The Scheduled Hours value of the skill assignment is replaced
by the Actual Hours value.
- A new skill assignment is created to complete the remaining
work. The Scheduled Hours for the new assignment are
automatically calculated by subtracting the Actual Hours
from the Scheduled Hours of the initial skill
assignment.
- If selected, the new skill requirement is assigned to the technician.
- Latest job stop reason, skill and note are updated on the
following pages:
- Line Maintenance: Aircraft Turn Details
page, Task Details page
- Hangar Maintenance: Crew Lead Work Package
