Create/Update Aircraft
Explanation
You can create aircraft, when required, or update details for an
existing aircraft. At minimum, you must enter and select the aircraft type
and enter the registration code.
Once created, if required, you can edit details of the aircraft
as required. You can also delete an
aircraft if it is not referenced by other entities
such as flights in the system.
Prerequisites
- Data for aircraft or assembly types must be loaded to Maintenance
Execution. Refer to Prepare and Load Aircraft Type
Configuration in IFS
Cloud Technical Documentation for more information.
System Effects
- If the aircraft condition was not specified on creation or update,
the aircraft condition is set to INSRV (In service).
- Aircraft that are not of the SCRAP (Scrapped) or ARCHIVE (Archived)
condition are available to be scheduled for flights and raise faults on.
To support both planned and unplanned arrivals, aircraft as well as the
flights must be made available to Line Maintenance Execution, to have an aircraft turn to perform any fixes or deferrals.
