You can add a new planned flight by specifying, at minimum, the flight name, aircraft, departure and arrival airports, scheduled departure date and scheduled arrival date. When the planned flight is created, the scheduled departure date is copied to the actual departure date and the scheduled arrival date is copied to the actual arrival date.
You must enter the departure date and arrival date in the time zone assigned to the departure airport and arrival airport. Once you create a flight, the departure and arrival dates are displayed with the relevant time zones.
Once added, if required, you can edit values for planned flights such as the locations and times.
A flight is created or updated if the scheduled and actual flight time does not overlap with the scheduled and actual flight time of another flight for the same aircraft that has not been canceled.
You can also change the status of a planned flight to either completed or canceled. On completing a flight, default values for scheduled departure date and scheduled arrival date appear in the actual departure date and actual arrival date fields and can be changed if required.
You can also delete flights if they are in the Planned status.
