Handle Unused Parts
Explanation
Use this activity to handle parts reserved for a Work Task in a service
location but not consumed for the job. From the Reserved Materials
screen, using the Handle Unused Parts command, it is
possible to unreserve the parts and move them to a desired location.
Parts reserved at a Service Location (received through a
Direct Purchase Order or Direct Shipment Order
process) can be moved using the following options:
- Move with Transport Task, where the part(s) will be
unreserved and a Transport Task will be created, to move them to a central
(non-remote) warehouse. It is possible to execute the transport task in
the same action.
- Unreserve and move to user stock: Parts will be unreserved
and moved to user connected remote location.
Prerequisites
- Parts must have been delivered to the service location and reserved
for the Work Task.
- The Work Task Workflow Configuration applied must have the action
Unreserve Materials enabled, or no workflow configuration applied to the
Work Task.
System Effects
- Parts will be unreserved and stored either in the user connected remote
location, or in central (non-remote) location.
