Conduct Talent Assessment
This activity is used to perform Talent Assessments to persons.Talent assessments help organizations review
their existing talent pool to ensure a balanced workforce and identify potential opportunities and challenges.
Conducting a Talent Assessment allows team managers to evaluate team members, identify their assessment levels
(e.g., High Potential, Key Contributor, Improvement Needed), determine critical expertise, and assess flight
risk.
Explanation
Team managers and supervisors can perform talent assessments from the Talent
Assessments page in the Manager Services section. HR professionals can access a
similar view at the Talent Assessment page via the HCM Services
navigation to manage and analyze assessment information.
Steps to Perform a Talent Assessment
- Visit the Talent Assessments Page
- Your team members will be listed for the latest assessment period. (If not listed please refer to the
Activity Create Talent Assessment)
- Fill in the Assessment Information
- Talent Assessment Level field
This is a list of values from which you can choose a suitable assessment level for the selected team member.
These levels are pre-defined by your organization.
- Critical Expertise toggle
Enable the Critical Expertise toggle if the team member has rare or essential skills that
are critical to the business. Be sure to confirm the definition of "Critical Expertise" with your
HR team, as it may vary based on your organization's needs.
- Flight Risk toggle
Enable the Flight Risk toggle if you feel the team member may be at risk of leaving the
organization soon, based on their behavior, engagement, or other relevant signs.
- Action Plan field
Use this field to outline the next steps or development actions for the team member based on the assessment.
This could include training, mentoring, stretch assignments, or any support needed to help them grow or
improve.
- Comments field
Add any additional comments or observations.
- Status field
This field represents the current stage of a succession plan assessment.
Other Fields
The Talent Assessments page provides the following additional information.
- Employment Period
- Job Title
- Last Job Change date
- Latest performance score
- Latest performance index
- Performance period
When displaying the latest performance evaluation information, The solution will show the latest available
performance results based on completed evaluations. If the current year’s evaluation isn’t finished
yet, it will display the most recent one that’s complete, usually from last year.
Page Search Tips
At the top of the list, you'll see two check boxes, Both check boxes are selected by default.
- Active Records: When selected, this check box shows only the ongoing talent
assessment records. To view all records, including completed ones, you can clear this check
box.
- Direct Reports: When selected, this check boxcheck box shows assessments of your direct
reports. To view records of your direct reports and any additional team members you have access to (Possibly,
members reporting to your direct reports and extended team members) you can clear this check box.

- Talent Assessments are created.
System Effects
- Talent Assessment Records are updated.
- Talent Assessment Status changed.
