Employee Code Parts

Explanation

The Employee Code Parts page provides a comprehensive overview of a Employee's Pre-Posting details, including with the Multi Company option. While no actions can be performed within this view, the Employee's Pre-Posting details for a specific date are viewable, along with the corresponding sources of the Code Parts fetched for that date.

The Code Part for the Employee is retrieved from the following areas: Personal File, Team, or Organization.

The priority sequence for retrieving Code Part details is as follows:

  1. Personal File: Highest priority.
    • If the search starts with the Employee perspective and finds a valid record, it retrieves the associated Code Parts and stops looking for a Person record. If no valid Employee record is found, it then checks for a valid Person record.
  2. Access Setup Configuration: Based on Supervisor Configuration Type:
    • Supervisor from Team and Supervisor Setup or Priority to Team and Supervisor Setup: Prioritize the Team.
    • Supervisor from Organization and Position Setup: Prioritize the Organization.
  3. Fallback: If not found at the Team level, check the Organization.

In the Company specific view, each Code Part column displays the Company-specific Internal Name from the Define Code String page. In the Multi Company option view, the general system-defined name for each Code Part is shown, with a navigation feature to the Code Parts Name Analysis page. This help understand the Internal Names assigned to the Code Parts for each Company.
