Logical Printers

Description of the Process

Logical printers in IFS Cloud are virtual representations of physical printers or output devices. They provide a layer of abstraction between the application and the actual hardware, allowing for greater flexibility and control over the printing process.

Key functions of logical printers:

• Device mapping: Associate logical printers with physical printers.
• Print queue management: Manage print jobs submitted to specific logical printers.
• Printer settings: Configure printer-specific options like paper size, orientation, and resolution.
• Error handling: Manage print job failures and provide error messages.

Prerequisites

• The selected report should be an operational report.
• As the user, you should be granted the required permission sets.
• Print job to be executed.
