Import Dimension Connection

Explanation

This activity enables the user to import a previously exported Custom Dimension Connections XML file as the input to import the definition to the current environment. Import will not succeed if a relation or an attribute to be imported already exists in the environment. This functionality can be used when moving Custom Dimension Connections from one environment to another. The user can click Import to open the Import Custom Dimension Connections assistant.

Prerequisites

• Knowledge of relevant Information Sources and dimensions.
• The custom dimension connection that are imported should not exist in the current environment.
• Previously imported xml file. previously imported xml file.

System Effects

The relevant custom dimension connections are imported to the environment.
