This activity is used to delete a Parquet Data Source from the Data Lake folder. The Delete option is available on the Parquet Data Source page and Parquet Data Source Details page. Only the Data Sources which are not connected to any Analysis Model or a Workload Job Definition can be deleted. (Also, the Data Sources with Base configuration state cannot be removed as well).
To perform this activity:
As a result of this activity, the system prompt is displayed with the below details.
When the deleting process is confirmed, the Mark for Deletion flag is set to Yes and the Refresh History status of the respective Data Source will be updated as Job Queued for Deleting, and then to Deleting. Once the process is completed, the Mark for Deletion flag is set to No, and the Data Source will be removed from the Parquet Data Source page.
The respective Parquet file/ folder which holds the Parquet file will be removed from all Data Lakes where the Data Source was loaded. (in the case of a Data Source which is not loaded into the Data Lake, the system behavior will be the same as above).
