Use this activity to modify the Repair Details. While the Total Repair Price and Total Repair Cost are calculated automatically, the other fields could be modified, as required.
Note: When the RMA Line is created, a workflow can update the Repair Limit to a value that is a percentage of the cost of a new unit. The Beyond Repair Limit badge will be updated, if the planned price exceeds the repair limit. The other badge values include Beyond Limit and No.
During the call-taking process, the customer may provide a not to exceed instruction for the repair. This value should be entered into the Not to Exceed field. If the planned price exceeds that value, the Beyond Not to Exceed badge will indicate that the repair exceeds the specified limit, and the customer should be contacted for approval to proceed. The badge values for this situation are Exceeded and Not Exceeded.
Repair Action, Repair Disposition, and Repair Resolution must exist.
As a result of this activity, Repair Details are modified.
