Execute the Repair

Explanation

Use this activity to begin the repair once the triage is completed. As the technician, you may either start the repair immediately or wait until all required materials and resources are available. The repair process includes completing necessary work steps, consuming materials, reporting and authorizing repair time, reviewing final costs and sales, adding repair notes, and marking the repair as complete.

You should follow the predefined set of work steps, marking each step as completed. These steps are typically based on standard tasks but can also be manually added when needed. If no task exists, additional steps cannot be created. The status command button allows to update work step statuses as Reopen, Done, or Cancelled. Once the unit has been repaired, tested, and transferred to shipping, you can mark the repair as Complete.

Prerequisites

RMA unit should be connected to a Task.

System Effects

Once the repair is executed, this is marked as Completed in the system.
