Translate Basic Data in Translation Development
Explanation
Use this activity to perform translations of basic data attributes in Translation Development in the
application.
Basic data attributes can, as all other translatable attributes, be translated using the Translation
Development. This work is normally performed by the IFS personnel during work with a new release or
update.
The following support for Basic Data Translation is available in Translation Development:
- The Translatable Text page is used to search translatable attributes and add/modify translations. All
Basic Data translatable attributes are marked with Sub Type Basic Data.
- The Text Translation page is used to manage exisiting translations. All Basic Data translatable
attributes are marked with Sub Type Basic Data.
- The Transfer Basic Data and Company Template Translations page can be used to load Basic Data
translations from the Translation Runtime Dictionary to Text Translation page
Prerequisites
- Translatable Basic Data attributes and associated texts must have been defined in the Server Runtime
Database, normally during the installation/upgrade.
- Translation Development must be granted to the user.
