Connect Document
Explanation
Use this activity to connect a document to any object type, such as an
equipment object, work order, preventive maintenance action, or purchase order.
The connection is made via the Attachment Panel located at the
bottom of the corresponding page.
Prerequisites
- The document class must be entered in
Document
Management/Basic Data/Document Class page.
- The document revision must be created in Document
Revision page.
- The object type to which the document should be connected must be
added to Object Connection basic data. It is referenced by
its Logical Unit (LU) name and service DocObjectReference must be added to the service list.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the document is linked to an
object.
