Enter Price Elements

Explanation

This activity is used to enter price elements used for detailed part pricing for purchased parts in supplier agreements.

There are three types of price elements: material, amount, and percentage. Material price elements contribute to the final price based on the proportion of the material included in the part and the price for the material. Meanwhile, the contribution of amount and percentage elements is manually defined in the supplier agreement.

You can modify the description for any saved element and change the type between percentage and amount, except for material type, which is fixed. For materials, you can change the Base UoM to another UoM with the same UoM base (e.g. from kg to g).

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• The material price elements can be used to define the material share per inventory part as well as the material pricing in supplier agreements.
• The price elements of type amount and percentage can be used when you define the detailed part pricing in the supplier agreement.
