This activity is used to close the business opportunity. Click Close Opportunity on the Business Opportunity page. The Close Business Opportunity dialog will be displayed. In this dialog, you can choose if the opportunity state was Won, Partially Won, No Decision, or Lost. If the opportunity was won or partially won, you can enter the reason for the win. If it was lost, you can enter the reason for the loss and the competitor to which the opportunity was lost. If no decision, you can enter a note and close the business opportunity. Once the opportunity is closed, the additional info tab gets updated with the relevant close state information and state badge.
The opportunity must have been entered and saved before you can set the status to Close.
The opportunity is closed. No further transactions can be performed for the opportunity.
