Change Opportunity Account

Explanation

This activity enables you to update the existing account associated with a business opportunity by using the Change Account command. This command allows you to choose which contacts and related accounts to retain when the header account is modified for the business opportunity record, along with its associated contacts and accounts.

You can keep the toggle for Add the Original Account as a Related Account enabled if you have chosen to add the previous header account as a related account for the activity. After selecting the OK command in the Change Account dialog, the account will be successfully changed from the previous account to the new account, along with all the selected contacts and related account records.

The account cannot be changed if the business opportunity is in progress status. Opportunity lines will be updated according to the currency and prices valid for the new account.
