Define Cost Rule

Explanation

Use this activity to add a Cost Rule to control what cost types and purchase groups are included in fixed prices. Each rule includes a Rule ID, Description and Cost Rule Lines. Cost Rules can be applied to Agreement Lines, Service Catalog items and Service Contractors. Any reported payment lines for cost types included in fixed prices, will get Invoice % set to 0, whereas the fixed price line will have an Invoice % of 100.

New Cost Rule Lines can be added by selecting the following:

• Type (Cost Type, Purchase Group, All Other)
• Purchase Group
• Cost Type (Personal, Material, External, Expenses, Tool/Equipment)
• Include in Fixed Price toggle, which enables the following
  • Purchased Part of Fixed Price
  • Purchase Part Site

Prerequisites

• Purchase Groups must be defined in Procurement/Procurement Basic Data/Purchase Group.
• Purchase Part for Fixed Price must be defined in Part/Purchase Part.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a New Cost Rule will be added.
