A Salary review plan is created using the new salary plan assistant
or via the group salary planning process. During this, the HCM professional
will enter some global information such as the proposed salary budget for the
upcoming period,
employees considered for the salary review, a snapshot date to get salary
values from the employee files,a common effective date for
the increments etc.…
Once the salary plan is generated with above
parameters, the HCM professional can then make individual changes to the
review plan before it is release for managers.
Example 1
The Common Increment % is 2% for the entire company, but there is a
management decision to allocate a 2.5% budget for the Sales Department.
This can be done using the “Manage Organization Budget” Scenario and its
activities. You can change the proposed increment % to 2.5% for the sales
department.
Example 2.
There are some key employees the management wishes to retain and
expects to provide a higher increment. You can select the respective
employee and propose a different increment specifically to these employees,
compared to what was originally proposed when the plan was created.
Similarly, several changes can be done to a Generated Salary Review
plan before it Is released to the managers for review.
Following
Scenarios of Managing Salary Review Plan cover various ways such changes can
be handled.
