Budget Presentation Level (Create Salary Review Plan)

Explanation

This is the second step of the “New Salary Review Plan” assistant. This activity is used to identify the levels of the graphical organization structure that will be used to present the budget distribution.

There are two options to specify the level.

1. Distribute Budget on Org Levels

When an organization unit is created in the graphical organization structure, you need to select an organization level.
Example: Department, Section, Division, Team etc…

Let’s assume you have the following Org Structure defined.

• ABC Company

  • Finance (Org Level is Department)

    • Payroll (Division)

    • Tax (Division)

      • Income Tax Unit (Team)

      • Company Tax Unit (Team)

  • HR (Org Level is Department)

    • Employee Relations (Division)

    •  Event Management (Team)

When generating the salary review plan, if Division was selected as the Budget Distribution org level. It will display the Budget Structure as follows.

• ABC Company

  • Finance (Org Level is Department)

    • Payroll (Division)

    • Tax (Division)

      • All employees of Income Tax and Company Tax will display under Tax.

      • All the of Income Tax and Company Tax salaries will show under the Tax Divisions Salary Budget

  • HR (Org Level is Department)

    • Employee Relations (Division)

    •  

      • All employees of Event Management will display under HR Departments Salary.

      • All the of Event Management salaries will show under the HR Departments Salary Budget

 

2. Distribute Budget based on a number of levels.

In this case when generating the salary review plan, the solution will disregard the Org level and simply generate the plan based on a number of levels from the root.
For the same structure Displayed at the Org Level example if a number was entered the outcome will display as follows. Let’s assume 3 was entered.

• ABC Company

  • Finance (Org Level is Department)

    • Payroll (Division)

    • Tax (Division)

      • All employees of Income Tax and Company Tax will display under Tax.

      • All the of Income Tax and Company Tax salaries will show under the Tax Divisions Salary Budget

  • HR (Org Level is Department)

    • Employee Relations (Division)

    • Event Management (Team)

      • In this case Event Management Team will remain since it is 3 levels from the root level of the organization structure.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity:

• The Graphical Organization Structure must be defined for at least one level..
