Define Accrual Cap

Explanation

This activity is used to define an Accrual Cap which limits the accrual of Absence Limits to the defined value. With an absolute Accrual Cap, the same value is defined for all Employees within this Absence Type. With the relative Accrual Cap a factor defines the Accrual Cap depending on the Automatic Limit Generation settings.

The accrual of Absence Limits will stop, once the defined Accrual Cap is reached. After Absence Limits are used, the accrual will continue in the following Accrue Period after the Absence Limits are regenerated. The regeneration of Absence Limits can be done using the Database Task "Generate Absence Limits".

It can be defined whether carry forward Absence Limits are supposed to be excluded for the Accrual Cap. Deviations from the defined Accrual Cap for certain Employees can be defined in the Absence Parameters page using the Limit Parameter Type "Accrual Cap".

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity Absence Limits are required to be defined.

For the usage of the relative Accrual Cap or the Database Task, Automatic Absence Limit Generation has to be defined.
