Start Work Task

Explanation

You start a work task to indicate that work on the task or fault is about to commence. You can start a task on the My Work, Work Tasks and Task Details pages.

Prerequisites

• The status of the task is Active.
• The status of the fault is Open or Deferred.
• The work task must be assigned to you.

System Effects

• The status of the task changes to In Work.
• The Actual Start of the task on the Task Details page is updated with the date and time on which the task was started.
• If the work package or none of the tasks in the work package have been started, starting work on any task in the work package starts the work package as well.
