Add Measurement

Explanation

You can add ad hoc measurements or measurements that were not specified on the originating task definition, to a task online or offline. Any measurements already displayed on the Task Measurements page that you can navigate to from Task Details, are those that were added to the task beforehand.

You can add measurements by clicking Measurements from Task Details and then clicking Add Measurement. You must select the step for which the measurement is applicable and then select the measurement parameter to be added to the task in order to add it.

You can record measurement values when you partially complete or complete work and then sign off these values.

You can also remove measurements on the Task Measurements page provided that the measurement was not originally defined on the synced task and has not yet been signed off.

Prerequisites

• The status of the task is Active or In Work.
• Tasks must be migrated and synced from your primary M&E system.
• Measurement basic data such as measurement types, measurement categories and engineering units must be be migrated from your primary M&E system.

System Effects

• The measurement is added to the task and displayed on the Task Measurements page accessed by clicking Measurements on Task Details.
• The added measurement displays the type of measurement to be recorded and the step during which the value should be recorded. The inventory, based on the Config Position on the task, for which the measurement was added, is also displayed. 
• The measurement can be viewed on the step by clicking Steps on Task Details and then View Measurements.
