Use this activity to add a new Functional Failure and Failure Description to perform the FMECA Analysis. The Functional Failure can be, for example, that the crane fails to move at the required speed, and the Failure Description can be that the crane fails to move the load horizontally at 30 meters at a speed of 2 meters per second and moves only at 1 meter per second.
The Functional Failures tab is accessible when the drop-down is selected for the relevant Function. The added Functional Failure can be modified and deleted, as required. An additional Note can also be added to the Failure to specify further details.
Note: You cannot define another Functional Failure with an already existing Failure’s name.
As a result of this activity, a new Functional Failure is created.
